Known for her sculptural installations and mixed media assemblage work, Mildred Howard has been the recipient of numerous awards. Her work has been exhibited at the Oakland Museum of California, the de Young Museum, SF MOMA, the San Jose Museum of Art and internationally in Berlin, Cairo, Bath and England. Large scale installations have been mounted at Creative Time in New York, in SITE San Diego, the National Museum of Women in the Arts and the New Museum in New York.
