Bruce Wolfe has been creating life sized
bronze portraits since 1967. His clients come to
Wolfe wanting to have a likeness of their heroes or to have a permanent portrait
made of
someone important to them. Some subjects are sculpted from photographs, such as the
late Steve Silver, the creator of the Beach Blanket Babylon Play in San Francisco, or Ben
Kalberer, a philanthropist from North Dakota. Others, such as George Shultz, the former
Secretary of State or Maestro Kurt Herbert Adler, of the San Francisco Opera, or Brother
Mel Anderson, President of St. Mary's College, are sculpted directly from
life.
