Assimilating the classical studies in Italy with her emerging sensual imagery, Anne-Marie creates a new, totally personal style by applying to sculpture the technique known as depraved perspective, previously only represented in two-dimensional art since the 16th century. Distorting figures around a geometric shape achieves new, highly expressive, visual symbols. She breaks representational (figurative) conventions in a unique way.
